We carefully maintain carpets, rugs, runners and tapestries using only traditional methods, both cleaning and repairing by hand. Scott Colquhoun Fleming - Scott has over 25 years’ experience in architecture and the Scottish home improvements sector. An avid antiques/art collector and enthusiast, he has acquired detailed knowledge of Persian and Oriental rugs over many years. Scott was a board member of the EAC (Edinburgh Antiques Council) from its inception in 1982 to 1989 and continues to work with many of the prominent auction houses in the UK. Scott is responsible for managing the Edinburgh office. In his spare time, Scott enjoys gardening, rambling, shooting and contributing to his 600+ hours of powered aircraft piloting.
Edward Andrew Thomson (P.H.D.) - Edward has been with The Oriental Rug Repair Co. for several years, initially part time as a helper and washer during his University studies. His doctorate in Astrophysics recently completed after nine years of hard work between The University of Edinburgh and The University of Glasgow has enabled Edward to focus on his hobby and passion, Persian and Oriental Rugs. Edward is now responsible for the running and management of the St James’s Square office and conducts daily uplifts, appraisals and deliveries. In his spare time, Edward enjoys photography, astronomy and travelling.
Clark Scott Fleming (MA) Hons - Clark has been with the Oriental Rug Repair Co for several years in between University study. After graduating (MA) in business and law in 2010, Clark has been assisting between the London and Edinburgh offices as well as reading for a Masters (M.Sc) in Psychology at the University of St Andrews. In his spare time, Clark enjoys travelling, arts and crafts, flying and hiking.
James Worthington (BA) Hons - James has been a valued member of the team since 2009. With over 20 years of experience in arts and crafts, James has collected and restored thousands of antique and rare rugs over the last three decades, bringing invaluable experience, expertise and passion to the business. James predominantly works from the London office, assisting Edward with the daily running of the office. A keen country sportsman, James enjoys hunting and fishing throughout the UK, Norway and Sweden in his spare time.
